What should you bring?


* Proof that you are 15 years of age or older.
* Evidence of completing the online Red Cross portion of the course.
* Board Shorts. (No competitive or overly casual swimsuits: No Speedos, Jammers, or Bikinis)
* A Towel. (Some prefer two)
* A copy of the Lifeguarding manual.
* A Snack or Lunch.
* Water.
* If you are participating in the Waterfront Lifeguarding course bring your own Fin's and Mask.
* Pencil & Paper to take notes.

How long does the course normally take?


Typically 3-days, 8 hours per day, 24 hours total.
There are some slight differences depending on the exact lifeguarding course.

Completion Criteria:

* Complete the online portion & pass the online test.
* Participate in the entire in-person training.
* Pass the final written exam with a score of 80% or better.
* Pass the Final Skills evaluations.
